Yet more personal data treated with complacency

So nine NHS trusts in England have admitted losing patient records.

This is yet another case of wholesale data loss by government services and a demonstration of the lack of care taken by the Government and it agencies with our data. At a time when data protection is suppose to be of paramount importance it just shows the complacency with which our personal details are treated.

This comes on the back of two earlier revelations involving Child Care Benefit Data and drivers details. It is another example of the incompetent way this Government acts.

While the Department of Health says patients have been told and there is no evidence data has fallen into the wrong hands, it is still very concerning for those involved. The Government has really got to get a grip and start to act as if they know what they are doing!
